Event Information and Background 


Spring Camps 

May 2-4, 2025: Female U14 and Female U16 Camp

May 9-11, 2025: Male U14, Male U15, and Male U16 Camp

Spring Camps at each level typically take place in the month of May after Atlantic championships. For planning purposes, camps typically start on the Friday morning and end Sunday afternoon. Camp typically consists of  combination of game and off ice session(s) Friday, two (2) games Saturday and one (1) game Sunday for each player. Schedules are not finalized until registration is complete, but for planning purposes, players should be prepared to be at the rink most of Friday, Saturday and Sunday of camps.  

Players must attend the spring camp in order to participate in the summer camp, unless they are granted an exemption under the Special Consideration Policy.

The program fee for the spring camp is typically around $250.


Summer Camps

Summer camps take place in early July at St. F.X University in Antigonish. Players are selected for the summer camp at the conclusion of the spring camps. Players typically stay in residence and are on campus for 4 days participating in both on and off ice sessions.

Program fee for summer camp is typically around $685 which includes residence, 4 meals per day, all ice sessions, and apparel.

Atlantic Challenge Cup

The Atlantic Challenge Cup takes place in Moncton, N.B. during Thanksgiving Weekend with provincial teams from all four Atlantic provinces coming together for the premier showcase event in Atlantic Canada. A roster of 20 players will be selected at each age division to attend this event.

The program fee will be announced shortly, but it is typically in the $515 range.

Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League Male U16 Challenge

The QMJHL U16 Challenge features provincial U16 teams from Atlantic Canada competing in the QMJHL Cup showcase event. This event will take place on Thanksgiving Weekend.


Team Atlantic Female Under-18 Program

Team Atlantic is comprised of players from the four Atlantic provinces and competes in the National Under-18 Championships. Typically, 42-46 players  from the four Atlantic provinces are identified through their participation in the respective provincial programs and selected to attend the Team Atlantic summer development and evaluation camp led by the coaching staff of Team Atlantic .
