Registration Information
NEW OFFICIALS
• Must be a minimum of 12-years old (PLEASE NOTE: Ages listed are as of Dec. 31 of the current hockey season)
• In order to register for a clinic, you must have an HCR 3.0 account.

• Register for Hockey Canada Introduction to Officiating. This on-demand course takes approximately three hours to complete, costs approximately $20 and must be completed prior to registering for a clinic.
• Once you have completed Hockey Canada Introduction to Officiating, you can register for a clinic.
• After creating your account CLICK HERE to be re-directed to the dates and locations section of the website. Follow the appropriate steps to register for a clinic. Pre-registration is mandatory.
RETURNING OFFICIALS
LEVEL 1: Prepares a young or new official to officiate minor and female hockey.
• Open to new officials or returning officials who are 12-years of age or older.
• Must be completed for two consecutive years
LEVEL 2: Further enhances the training and skills of minor and female hockey officials.
• For officials 16-years of age or older
• Must be completed for 2 consecutive years
LEVEL 3: Prepares officials capable of refereeing minor and female hockey playoffs, or being a linesperson in Junior B, C, U15 or U18 regional championships.
• Fully certified Level 2 official
• Minimum two (2) years of Level 2 officiating experience
LEVEL MEMBER HIGH PERFORMANCE: Prepares hockey officials capable of refereeing Senior, Junior A, B, C, minor and female hockey regional and national championships, being a linesperson in U Sports, Junior A, B, and Senior.
• Fully certified Level 3 official
• Minimum two (2) year of Level 3 officiating experience
LEVEL NATIONAL HIGH PERFORMANCE: Prepares competent officials to referee U Sports, Junior A, Senior, and inter-branch playoffs.
• Fully certified Level Member High Performance (MHP) official
• Minimum two (2) year of Level 4 officiating experience
• Selection is made by Hockey Canada with member input
Please note all ages listed are as of Dec. 31 of the current hockey season.
All on-ice officials and supervisors who are 18 years of age or older as of December 31 of the current season, are required to complete Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check.
A new Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check is required every three seasons.
