TWO NEW FRANCHISES WELCOMED TO NOVA SCOTIA U15 MAJOR HOCKEY LEAGUE FOR 2026–27 SEASON

Hockey Nova Scotia, in partnership with the Nova Scotia U15 Major Hockey League, has announced two league franchises have been awarded for the upcoming season.
Following a call for bids and a thorough selection process, two strong operating groups have been selected to lead franchises representing different regions of Nova Scotia.
REGION 11: O'REGAN'S SUBARU WESTERN HURRICANES
The winning bid for Region 11, which encompasses the Western Region hockey associations and the Clare-Digby Minor Hockey Association, has been awarded to an operating group consisting of Jordan Bain, Paul Belliveau, Zack Gladwin, and Matthew Fraughton. The franchise will operate under the name of the O'Regan's Subaru Western Hurricanes for the upcoming 2026–27 season.
REGION 4: FUNDY RUSH
In Region 4, which includes the boundaries of hockey associations in the Fundy Region, Jamie Barbour, Mark Collins, and Dana Fraser have been selected as the winning applicants. The group brings years of experience at the local minor hockey level to the franchise. The franchise will operate under the name of the Fundy Rush for the upcoming 2026–27 season.
The Nova Scotia U15 Major Hockey League is comprised of 12 teams from across the province and is the top male U15 league in Nova Scotia.
