RIPTIDE RECEIVE RON CONRAD AWARD

Hockey Nova Scotia is proud to announce the Western U11 C Riptide from the Western Female Hockey Association as the 2025 recipients of the Ron Conrad Award as our Female Team of the Year.
Affectionately known as "the little team that could," the Riptide enjoyed remarkable success this season. Starting at the bottom of the standings, the group battled their way to the top, ultimately capturing their league championship and growing as a team along the way.
With a small roster, the Riptide often relied on call-ups from their U9 affiliate players. Despite the challenges, their strong team spirit, determination, and love for the game helped them overcome every obstacle. Their success is a testament to the dedication of their coaching staff and the resilience of every player who wore the Riptide jersey this season.
The Ron Conrad Award, established in 1996, is presented annually to the Hockey Nova Scotia-registered female team deemed to have had the most successful season over the past year. Named in honour of former branch president Ron Conrad, this award celebrates teamwork, perseverance, and excellence — all qualities exemplified by the Western U11 C Riptide this year.
Congratulations to the entire Riptide team on an unforgettable season and this well-deserved award.
