RAFUSE NAMED 2023 RECIPIENT OF REGISTRAR'S AWARD

Hockey Nova Scotia is pleased to announce that Western Valley Minor Hockey Association registrar Tanya Rafuse is the recipient of the 2023 Hockey Nova Scotia Registrar’s Award.

Tanya has been a dedicated member of the Western Valley Minor Hockey Association executive team for many years. She keeps up-to-date with the registration system and goes beyond her duties by handling coach qualifications.

A pillar of the organization and a devoted volunteer for almost two decades, Tanya has brought stability to the association throughout her tenure. Her extensive knowledge of minor hockey is invaluable. In recent years, she has played a crucial role in merging five areas of the Western Valley region into one organization, ensuring fair finances across all levels of play. This merger has brought pride and unity, with all players proudly wearing the new Spartan brand from C to AA.

Children and Western Valley association members look to Tanya as a kind and compassionate volunteer who helps create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all. Her association is grateful for her care and dedication to minor hockey, Hockey Nova Scotia, and her community. Her impact on the youth in the region cannot be overstated.

On behalf of everyone at Hockey Nova Scotia, we would like to congratulate Tanya Rafuse on winning our 2023 Hockey Nova Scotia Registrar’s Award. Thank you for all that you do, Tanya!
