As we work to establish a new board for the Nova Scotia U13 AAA Hockey League, we are inviting applications for the position of League Treasurer. We are looking for candidates with accounting or bookkeeping experience and an interest in committing to the position for two to three years (ideally with a longer-term commitment to support the league’s future planning and program development).

Ideally, those interested in the League Treasurer position should have a background in finance, accounting, or bookkeeping. Familiarity with not-for-profit financial management would be considered an asset. The treasurer will need to keep accurate records and maintain organized files. Prospective candidates should possess the ability to create and manage budgets effectively. While a background in hockey governance would be preferred, all applications will be reviewed and considered regardless of level of experience.

The formation of this board is essential for the league’s governance and future success. Our intention is to elevate the level of play, foster sportsmanship, and broaden the league’s offerings to benefit all participants.
