Attention Nova Scotia hockey coaches! 

We are excited to open the application process for positions with our men’s and women’s teams for the 2027 Canada Winter Games in Quebec City.

We are currently seeking passionate and qualified leaders to help guide Team Nova Scotia through the next 18 months of development and competition.

Head Coach Applications

Applicants for Head Coach positions are asked to submit a technical package outlining their vision and planning approach for the 18-month lead-up to the Games. This should include:

* Proposed camp structure and timing
* Player evaluation and development balance
* Projected number of players per camp
* Overall team-building strategy

Team selection will be the responsibility of the coaching staff, while camp and program decisions will be made collaboratively. We welcome your insight on these matters.


Coach Requirements

All coaching candidates must meet the following requirements:

* Criminal Record Check
* Certified with High Performance I (HP1; Applicants may be considered if they are trained in High Performance I, with a certification deadline of April 1, 2026)
* Respect in Sport (or The Shift Forward)
* Commitment to attend professional development sessions over the next 18 months
* Attendance at all meetings, camps, and events

* September–October 2025: Staff Interviews
* October 2025: Coaching Staff Announced
* May 2026: Spring Camps
* July 2026: Summer Camp

* October 2026: Pre-Canada Games Event
* November 27, 2026: Tentative Team Roster Announcement
* December 2026: Holiday Camp (Dates TBD)
* February 27 – March 14, 2027: 2027 Canada Winter Games (Quebec City)
