NEW FRANCHISE OPERATORS WELCOMED TO NOVA SCOTIA U15 MAJOR HOCKEY LEAGUE

Hockey Nova Scotia, in partnership with the Nova Scotia U15 Major Hockey League, announced today that a league franchise has been awarded in the Western region.
Following a call for bids last month and a thorough selection process, an entry from an operating group consisting of the executive members of the South Shore Mustangs U18 Major Team was selected as the winning bid in Region 11 (including the boundaries of the Western Region and the Clare-Digby Minor Hockey Association).
The franchise will be branded as the Western Hurricanes and the new operators will begin operations during the upcoming 2024-25 Nova Scotia U15 Major Hockey League season.
The new team operators bring several years of coaching and administrative experience at various levels of hockey in Nova Scotia to the club.
The Nova Scotia U15 Major Hockey League is made up of 12 teams from across the province and is the top male U15 league in Nova Scotia.
Hockey Nova Scotia would like to congratulate the South Shore Mustangs U18 Major Team and their executive on their winning bid and wish their team the best of luck next season.
