Hockey Nova Scotia is proud to announce that the Metro East Female Hockey Association is the recipient of our 2025 Lauchie MacIsaac Director’s Award.

The Lauchie MacIsaac Director’s Award is named in honour of former Hockey Nova Scotia president Lauchie MacIsaac. The award is presented annually to associations, leagues, or administrators that have achieved outstanding success in the administration of minor hockey during the past hockey season. Dedication, hard work, and cooperation are the qualities that are used in determining winners of this award.

This season, Metro East Female Hockey Association exemplified all of those qualities and more. From top to bottom, the association was organized, professional, and easy to work with. They provided outstanding service and support to their members — helping ensure a smooth and successful season for all participants.

Metro East also delivered a fantastic experience for new players through their First Shift program, creating a welcoming and positive environment for families entering the game for the first time.
