MACLELLAN AND MACINTYRE AWARDED 2022 DENNY DEVEAU AWARD

Hockey Nova Scotia is proud to announce that the Quad County Whitecaps' Lewis MacLellan and Mark MacIntyre are the winners of our 2022 Denny Deveau Award.
The Denny Deveau Award is named in honour of former Hockey Nova Scotia president Denny Deveau and is presented annually in recognition of outstanding leadership and contributions to the advancement of girls' hockey in Nova Scotia.
Lewis MacLellan has been dedicated to female hockey in the Quad County for more than a decade.
As a proud hockey dad, Lewis has spent countless hours coaching and mentoring female players in the Quad County area. A vocal female hockey advocate, he has been a dedicated supporter of the female game for players of all levels in his region.
A former female hockey volunteer with the Cape Breton West Minor Hockey Association, Lewis transition to the Quad County Female Zone executive in recent years. Taking on various roles on the Quad County executive including most recently as president, he has been a driving force behind the advancement of the province's newest Female Hockey Association.
Mark MacIntyre has served as treasurer for the Quad County Female Hockey Zone and recently took on the role of VP of Finance for the newly minted Quad County Female Hockey Association.
Over the years, Mark has also served as treasurer for the Cape Breton West Minor Hockey Association, as well as various treasurer and vice-president positions in several Cape Breton hockey leagues. He has a decorated volunteer resumé in the local hockey community.
A staunch supporter and organizer of local youth activities, Mark has been a coach, manager, league executive, and board member with a number of different teams, committees, and community groups. Most recently, he played a pivotal role in helping the Quad County Female Hockey Association gain its official member association status with Hockey Nova Scotia.
