LEBLANC NAMED WINNER OF MINOR COUNCIL AWARD OF MERIT

Hockey Nova Scotia is pleased to announce that former Minor Council Director-at-Large Jamie Leblanc is the 2023 recipient of our Minor Council Award of Merit.
The award, considered the most prestigious that a person in minor hockey can receive, is presented annually to an individual who has made a significant contribution to minor hockey in Nova Scotia.
For several seasons, Jamie has been a hardworking and dedicated volunteer with Hockey Nova Scotia’s Minor Council as both a Regional Director and Director-at-Large.
This season, working alongside Minor Council Regional Director Guy Reid, Jamie was a driving force behind the success of a new pilot program called The First Save. The program was launched by Hockey Nova Scotia's Minor Council in HRM and CBRM to help recruit more goalies for local associations dealing with shortages.

The program was offered free of charge and gave players a chance to experience the position.
For all he has given to minor hockey, Jamie is very deserving of this recognition.
On behalf of everyone at Hockey Nova Scotia, we would like to congratulate Jamie on winning our 2023 Minor Council Award of Merit.
