Hockey Nova Scotia is pleased to announce that the Western Riptide Female Hockey Association's Chris Hayes is the winner of our 2023 Denny Deveau Award.

The Denny Deveau Award is named in honour of former Hockey Nova Scotia president Denny Deveau and is presented annually in recognition of outstanding leadership and contributions to the advancement of girls' hockey in Nova Scotia.

This season, Chris Hayes dedicated countless hours to the the promotion and development of girls' hockey in his region. In recent years, Hayes has been one of the driving forces behind the Western Riptide program. During the 2022-23 campaign, through his hard work and dedication, he helped will the Riptide to full member association status within the Hockey Nova Scotia family.
