FOWLER IS 2024 RECIPIENT OF JED RITCEY AWARD

We are pleased to announce that Wayne Fowler, president of the Western Valley Minor Hockey Association, is the recipient of our 2024 Jed Ritcey Award.

The Jed Ritcey Award is named in honour of former Hockey Nova Scotia president Jed Ritcey and recognizes the province's top hockey volunteer of the year.

Wayne is a passionate hockey supporter who has been deeply involved with minor hockey in the Western Valley area for years. As the long-time president of the Western Valley Minor Hockey Association, Wayne is committed to supporting the aspirations of players in his area. Working alongside a great team of volunteers, he believes in collaborating with other associations in his region to ensure players always have an opportunity to experience the best the game has to offer.

Wayne took a leadership role when associations in the region were amalgamated and he helped ensure a smooth transition for his members. With a strong commitment to the growth and development of his association's players, Wayne has been a tireless volunteer who is very deserving of this year's award.

Hockey Nova Scotia would like to congratulate Wayne Fowler on winning the 2024 Jed Ritcey Award and thank him for everything he does for the game.
