EASTERN SHORE MARINERS WIN 2021 FRED FOX AWARD

Hockey Nova Scotia is pleased to announce that the Eastern Shore U13 AAA Mariners have been awarded the 2021 Fred Fox Award as our male team of the year.
This year, the Mariners squad was comprised of 17 young players from the Eastern Shore, Cole Harbour Bel Ayr, Bedford, and Acadia Minor Hockey Associations. They came together to build friendships that will last a lifetime.
The team’s identity was simple: working hard and never taking a shift off.
Throughout the hockey season, every player on the Mariners showed true dedication, sportsmanship and pride in their game and their preparation.
Despite the COVID-19 restrictions that forced their season to be paused on more than one occasion, the team remained focused and determined through Zoom meetings and off-ice training.
The team’s coaching staff was made up of Brandon Pike, Ryan Daley and Jamie O'Donnell. The trio went above and beyond in their roles to ensure that every player had a memorable season. Following their lead, each player on the team showed true leadership and remained positive in the face of adversity.
The Mariners’ biggest accomplishment this year was the way they came together and gelled as a team.
On behalf of everyone at Hockey Nova Scotia, we would like to congratulate the Fred Fox Award-winning Eastern Shore U13 AAA Mariners on an incredible season.
