Hey Nova Scotia hockey teams, one of the greatest rivalries in sports is coming to Nova Scotia and you have a chance be on the ice with some of the best players on the planet!

The Rivalry Series featuring the national women’s teams of Canada and the USA is coming to Halifax on February 6, 2025. As part of the excitement, Hockey Nova Scotia is proud to announce our Cheer to Play Contest that will give young players in Nova Scotia the chance to shine on the international stage.


CHEER TO PLAY CONTEST

It’s time to get your team amped up and ready to show some love for Team Canada! 

The Cheer to Play Contest invites U7 teams and U9 Female and Minor teams registered with Hockey Nova Scotia to submit a video of their best team cheer in support of Team Canada. Here’s how you can enter:

* Create a video showcasing your team cheer.
* Share it on Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), or Instagram.

* Like, follow, and tag Hockey Nova Scotia in your post.
* Alternatively, you can email a link to your video submission to communications@hockeynovascotia.ca.

Don’t forget to include the following details in your submission:

* Team Name
* Association
* Level (e.g., U7, U9, etc.)

Your team could win this unforgettable opportunity to participate in an intermission game during the Rivalry Series!

The deadline to submit your entry is Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at 2 p.m.
