We are pleased to announce that Margaret Boyle, the Antigonish Minor Hockey Association’s VP of Operations, is the recipient of our 2023 Jed Ritcey Award.

The Jed Ritcey Award is named in honour of former Hockey Nova Scotia president Jed Ritcey and recognizes the hockey volunteer of the year in Nova Scotia.

Aside from her busy role as VP of Operations for her association in Antigonish, Margaret found time this season to help manage two different hockey teams in her area.

She also played a key role in organizing both the Minor U13 AAA Provincials and the Female U15 AAA Provincials which were held in Antigonish last March. Working alongside a talented group of parents, Margaret was meticulous in her event planning, dotting every I and crossing every T.

A terrific volunteer who is always willing to go the extra mile, Margaret is very deserving of this year’s Jed Ritcey Award as our volunteer of the year.
