ATLANTIC CHALLENGE CUP BEGINS FRIDAY IN MONCTON

MONCTON, N.B. Four of Nova Scotia’s provincial hockey teams are set to hit the ice this weekend at the Atlantic Challenge Cup, taking place at the Superior Propane Centre in Moncton, NB, from October 11-13.

Celebrating its 27th anniversary, the Atlantic Challenge Cup is Atlantic Canada’s top high-performance hockey championship. The event will feature the best young players from across the region, with Nova Scotia represented in the male under-14 and under-15 categories, as well as the female under-14 and under-16 divisions.

The provincial teams were selected through Hockey Nova Scotia’s summer evaluation camps, and the players will now have the opportunity to compete against the best from New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland and Labrador.

Nova Scotia’s teams will be among the hundreds of top players from the region participating in the three-day tournament, which promises exciting, high-level competition.
