ANTIGONISH AA MUNRO BULLDOGS WIN FRED FOX AWARD

Hockey Nova Scotia is pleased to announce that the Antigonish AA Munro Bulldogs have been awarded the 2022 Fred Fox Award as our male team of the year.

This year, the Antigonish AA Munro Bulldogs were the toast of the Nova Scotia Junior Hockey League, posting a regular season record of 20-1-1 and outscoring their opponents 117-63 in the process.

In the postseason, the Jr. B squad defeated the Strait Pirates, Membertou Jr. Miners, and East Hants Penguins in six games series en route to capturing the Nova Scotia Junior Hockey League title.

That provincial league victory earned the Bulldogs the right to represent Nova Scotia at the Don Johnson Cup in Cocagne, N.B.

After winning their first three games of the event, the Antigonish club fell to the eventual tournament champs in their final game of the round-robin. In the tournament semifinals, the Bulldogs dropped a hard-fought contest to the Moncton Vito's and saw their year come to an end.

Led by head coach Donnie Grant, the Bulldogs enjoyed an incredible season and one hockey fans in Antigonish won't soon forget.

On behalf of everyone at Hockey Nova Scotia, we would like to congratulate the Antigonish AA Munro Bulldogs on being the recipients of our 2022 Fred Fox Award.
