ANDREW BOYLE RECEIVES AWARD FROM HOCKEY CANADA FOR COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

ANTIGONISH, N.S. Andrew Boyle is a champion on and off the ice.

The Antigonish native was recognized this month by Hockey Canada as the Hockey Canada Champion for the month of November.

The captain of the Antigonish AA Munro Jr. B Bulldogs volunteers his time with children with disabilities, helping them enjoy baseball, para hockey, skating and swimming, all while getting his university degree and leading his hockey team.

At just 21 years of age, Andrew Boyle is a leader in his community.

"We’re very proud of Andrew and everything he has done to give back to the hockey community in Antigonish," said Hockey Nova Scotia president Arnie Farrell.

"Despite his busy school and sport workload, he still finds time each week to help grow our game and promote inclusivity in hockey. He's a fantastic role model and a true ambassador of all the best parts of our game."

Hockey Nova Scotia would like to congratulate Andrew on this incredible honour.
